At Restorative Press, we understand the defeat that trauma inflicts on the human being -- in body and spirit. People who suffer great trauma are shattered, incapable of living a normal healthy life until they are healed. That healing takes time and a loving hand. Once the traumatized are healed, they can rebuild, restore, and reconcile their lives and families.
Through our work at Welcome Home Ministries, we have seen shattered lives rebuilt through hope, guidance, and a helping hand. At Restorative Press, we believe that these stories of survival and triumph must be shared, so that others can see the possibility for their own lives. Most importantly, they must see that they, like others before them, can surrender the burden of shame and begin to heal within.
Trauma comes in many forms: physical or emotional abuse, drug abuse and addiction, childhood or lasting disease, death of a parent or loved one. Anything that skews development is trauma. The effects of trauma can debilitate for life. But recovery is possible: through God's grace, loving mentorship, and acknowledgement of the root cause of the trauma suffered.
Through these books, those who have been traumatized can understand the Stages of Change and find their places in the cycle, an absolute necessity for final healing.
Non-Fiction
These are the story of Every Woman, because each of us has been broken in some way. Through the books published by Restorative Press, we can illustrate the miracle of healing through God's grace.
Training
Our featured curriculum includes peer-driven mentor program training: training people how to be mentors, how to develop mentors, and how to create a peer-driven mentor program. Training materials include training manuals, PPT presentations, and a workbook. This curriculum provides a model outline for establishing an entire organization through replication of the Welcome Home Ministries model.
